TIBETAN ASTROLOGY COURSE
The Tibetan astrology science is part of the ancient knowledge of the Tibetan people. It started in Tibet itself and developed with the foreign countries art of astrology (Chinese and Indian). It reveals the secret relationship between cosmology, worldly elements and the human being and their deep psychic evolutions. The traditional Tibetan astrology explains the its concepts through the Buddhist philosophical way of understanding the external and internal phenomena and their effects. Astrological calculation and practice are widely used in Tibetan society for daily life, especially in business, spirituality, marriage, health, travel, spiritual practice, etc.
Astrology systems
Three main astrological systems developed in Tibet: Jungtsi ('Byung-rtsis) the elements astrology, Kalachakra (duskyi'khorlo) the astronomy astrology and Svarodhaya (dbyang'chhar) the zodiac astrology.
Basic theory
Jungtsi
The basic theory of Jungtsi or elements astrology is the calculation of the positive or negative energy relationship between the wood, fire, earth, metal and water elements. The method measures and calculates the elements energy in terms of mother, son, foe and friend.
Kalachakra Astronomy and Astrology
The basic theory is on the process of the formation and functional activity of the five great elements of the outer, inner and secret world of the mind. They are earth, water, fire, air and space elements, all found in the state of subtle elements particles, and they form the gross elements that become the cause and result of the world. To ordinary beings, they merely appear as gross material elements, while to enlightened eyes they are only mental states and emptiness. However, at a relative level, they definitely give positive and negative results by the interactions between the elements, houses, planets, stars, etc..
Svarodhaya Astrology
Basically, svarodhaya astrology is about the five great elements energy breaths produced by stars, planets, zodiac houses and human beings, which are macrocosm and microcosm. The breath of each being reflects the breath of the macrocosm and therefore breath and elements are used as the key formula of the calculation for the predictions. According to the predisposition of karma and mind, the breath that flows out from the nostril, gives different aspects of daily lives and positive and negative results. This astrology had been kept secret and practiced by few scholars in Tibet. The elements, zodiac house basic concepts, etc. are the same as those of Kalachakra.
Course structure
At the moment the course given at the Institute is only on Juntsi astrology. It is in three levels according to the nature of the astrological science and the related practices.

3. Two years of training as a professional Tibetan Jungtsi astrologer.
First two years basic course

Limit of participants
The course is restricted to 20 people.
Location
The course is held at the New Yuthok Institute, viale Sagna 77, Sesto san Giovanni, Milan. It is given in English and Italian.
Duration
The course duration is of two years, each year having lessons based on six weekends (including two examinations).
Schedule
The lessons will be held on Saturday (10.00-12.30 and 14.30 to 18.00)
and Sunday (9.00-12.30 and 14.30-17.00).
